About us

Our Story

Impact Link grew from the seed of an idea, nurtured by conversations with like-minded individuals with a passion to make a difference. The idea was to create a consultancy service which bridged the gap between Cayman-based philanthropists and companies, and the local and international non-profit organizations (NPOs) creating real, positive impact.

The Cayman Islands is a unique microcosm of society - on the one hand it is a growing hotspot for the super rich, on the other, over 18% of the employed population was earning less than the proposed minimum wage  in 2023. Approximately 700 NPOs exist within the territory, some addressing social challenges around poverty, health, nutrition and education, while others are focused on the environment, sports or professional development. Many have limited resources and face challenges in raising the funds and awareness required to fully achieve their mission. Conversely, donors, funding organizations and businesses with the desire to make a difference, may not have the local knowledge and expertise to determine how their philanthropic efforts can achieve the greatest impact.

Impact Link therefore serves three key stakeholder groups:

For donors and funding organizations such as Family Offices, we provide philanthropic strategy design, implementation and management, which honors your legacy and values.

For non-profit organizations, we become an extension of your team, providing support with strategy, fundraising, and communications and marketing.

For businesses, we help you to develop, govern, track and communicate on a comprehensive corporate responsibility strategy, tailored to your purpose and driving value for your organization.

Through collaboration with likeminded individuals and organizations, we are on a mission to connect purpose to impact.

Emma Gladstone

Emma's passion to create positive social and environmental change was the impetus for her to establish Impact Link Consulting. Prior to founding the company, she spearheaded social impact and sustainable agriculture projects for McCormick & Company. Her experience includes designing and implementing grantmaking processes for community resiliency programs in low-income countries, writing grant applications for financial support from international funding organizations, and designing and managing McCormick's purpose-driven communications strategy. With partner CARE International, she created the McCormick Women's Empowerment Framework, an industry-leading tool designed to measure and track women's empowerment and identify opportunites to create meaningful change.

Emma holds an MBA in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David and a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Edinburgh. She has attained professional certificates in Corporate Sustainability and Innovation (Harvard Extension School), Philanthropy for Family Offices (LSBA), Non-Profit Fundraising (Acumen) and completed the United Nations Global Compact's Human Rights Accelerator program.

Emma was formerly a producer at Cayman 27, where she developed and led the production of talkshows including "Let's Talk to the Experts", which explored some Cayman's pressing social and environmental issues. She has volunteered for multiple NPOs on island and when she's not spending time with her two sons you might find her treading the boards with the Cayman Drama Society.
